The United Nations Security Council
【Committee Introduction】
The United Nations Security Council is one of the six main organs of the United Nations, along with the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, the Secretariats, the Trusteeship Council, and the International Court of Justice. According to the United Nations Charter Chapter V Article 24, 25, and 26, the United Nations Security Council has the following functions and power. We, the Security Council, maintain international peace and security through ways consistent with the Charter; investigate situation and dispute, then recommend or impose measures to settle them (can also be referred in Chapter VI); determine the existence of breach to peace or act of aggression (can also be referred in Chapter VII).
